Entering a dealership as a shorter driver, or someone who just wants a smaller ride, can feel a bit limiting. You ride around impressive and majestic machines that you can admire but don’t want to fight as your main bike. You might find a pattern or two in the back that fit comfortably, but you’re disappointed that there are no other options to choose from. Luckily, options for smaller motorcycles are on the rise, and we’ve rounded up those options into two lists of Best Motorcycles for Smaller Riders.

That seat height limit means that almost all of the models on that list are cruisers, and while we certainly love cruising, we also like a bit of variety. With our second post on the Best Motorcycles for Smaller Riders, we’re excited to showcase some sportbikes, minibikes and ADVs. And while the seat height may be higher on the first list, many of the models on this list are lower in weight and price than cruisers with shorter seats.
This list includes motorcycles with saddle heights between 30.0 and 30.9 inches. When possible, we’ve included a link to our test drive review so you can get an idea of how each bike performs. We’ve also included the base US MSRP of the 2022/23 model year (as of publication), wet weight, and announced saddle height. On models with the option to lower the seat height or shock absorbers, we have listed standard and lowered seat heights.
