Bayonetta 3 final release date October 28, special edition details
Today’s trailer confirms it
We finally have a Bayonetta 3 release date, after years of waiting for it! Nintendo confirmed October 28, 2022 with a new trailer. If you’re curious, the day has finally arrived! It looks like this will be a classic Nintendo Direct drop, but this is on a random Wednesday morning.
We also have brand new information from Nintendo in addition to Bayonetta 3 release date, with a few key story implications. There will be a “coven of Bayonetta”, with “each [member] better than last time,” with settings including Tokyo (as we’ve seen before), as well as the mountainsides of China (and “far beyond”). We’ll also play a “trainer witch” named Viola, a sword wielder, and she’s accompanied by Chesire, a cat companion. Main Devil May Cry 3 vibes with Nero and Viola side-by-side!
Nintendo also introduced “Trinity Masquerade Edition,” which will be available at “select retailers” and will offer a 200-page color art book topped with three reversible game boxes for each entry of the series on Switch. “Details will be revealed in the future” and hopefully that process not as raw as Xenoblade Chronicles 3 special edition.
Oh, and the original Bayonetta launched as a standalone physical release on September 30, in “limited quantities”. It costs $30.
