For the third consecutive point, Artie’s Storm, a 4-year-old son of We Miss Artie joins his latest stake with a one-off win in the 1/16-mile Stella Artois Eclipse Stakes (G2) on May 29.
It was the seasonal debut for the trained and powerful breed of Paul Buttigieg, bred in Ontario by Sunrise Farm.
Under David Moran’s lead, Dark Bay, with a 7-1 scoreline, trailed the original leaders, finishing in third place ahead of the game and going on to score a victory in a time of 1:42.40.

“He came out of the race really well,” Moran said. “He’s had a good week, a couple of weeks and a couple of pieces. You couldn’t ask for a better effort. We entered the race thinking he was going to need the race and would improve. He seemed to come out of the race really well and he was having a good time between races. He seemed fresh. He was tumbling and playing, and happy. in himself. He seems really happy right now.”
Artie’s Storm, who went 4-2-2 from nine games starting in 2021, to Domination Day with a 5-2-3 record from 11 career races.
He ended his 3-year campaign with wins in Lake Ontario Stocks and Steady Growth Stocks.
“He seems very pleased with himself,” said Moran, who was on the boat for a four-way breeze, said: 47.0, past the Woodbine main track June 26. “Hopefully he steps up. from the last race and do it again.
