I am writing because I believe you might be interested in signing the Climate Science Oath organized by Scientists for Global Responsibility ahead of COP26.
The Oath for Scientists, Engineers, and Scholars demonstrates their commitment to speaking out about the scale of the threat demonstrated by the scientific evidence, the speed and scope of action needed. necessarily consequential – despite the often politically challenging conclusions they lead. In a show of leadership, the signatories pledged to take action to reduce their own emissions and lobbied their professional associations to self-regulate to achieve pathways aligned with the Paris roadmap. 1.5°C. Oaths speak of both individual behavior and systemic change.

Not unexpected, but still terrifyingly sad.
The person who sent this thought we should make fun of it. Make fun of the effort. Show it for the nonsense it is. So I chose a clown image to attach it to, but I can’t seem to see any humor in the truly totalitarian movement.
And a small FYI. We are using GETTR right now @wattsupwiththat. We haven’t enabled auto-posting so it won’t be as updated as our twitter feed, but we’re working with GETTR to hopefully resolve that in a few weeks.
When that is resolved, we will make a full announcement.
