Announcing the underwater tourism award 2022
Organizing Committee of Underwater Tour Award announced the opening of this year’s photography competition. This year, in addition to the previous photo categories — Underwater Characters, Underwater Scenes, Overwater Scenes, Underwater Abstracts, and Underwater Black and White Photos — the “Guru Awards” includes a sixth category: Reportage. The new category is intended to attract images that address “threats, activism, and actions related to the health of both marine and freshwater ecosystems”. As with previous versions, there are also People’s Choice awards and Grand Guru awards for shooters who have performed well across multiple categories.
As well as the Guru Awards, there is also a “newbie” photo contest organized in partnership with the environmental movement Take 3 for the Sea. Open to anyone equipped with a camera (even while using a phone), the contest accepts entries “above, in, around, or under” water that best “communicates Take 3 for the Sea story. “
The contest runs from now until September 19. Check out the press release below for more details.

“We are also very pleased. It‘a perfect mix of like-minded organizations and people striving for the same results. “
The annual Awards competition attracts ocean lovers, inspires adventure and discovery from behind the lens, and is the only international underwater photography competition to incorporate ethical judgment as a part of the evaluation process along with terms and conditions approved by Photo Watch Dog to ensure fair terms and conditions for both entrants and organizers.
