Announcing the anime adaptation of VTuber Legend


Legendary VTuber Awayuki Kokorone will have his own anime series. Or rather, the VTuber-themed novel series VTuber Legend: How I went viral after forgetting to turn off my stream being adapted into an anime. Kadokawa announced that they are in production VTuber legend story as a TV series, with its own fake VTuber stream. [Thanks, Comic Natalie!]

The VTuber legend the anime announcement trailer takes the form of a VTuber stream hosted by Awayuki Kokorone, promising a “Big Announcement”. Instead of an anime series, Kokorone announced an update to her VTuber avatar. She also rejected the notion that any VTuber worthy of their salt would be foolish to leave her stream. Of course, she does exactly that, placing a call on the hot mic and leaking the “surprise” announcement about the anime adaptation. Awayuki Kokorone is voiced by Ayane Sakura, who also voices Miyamoto Musashi in Fate/Great OrderClose to in Knight, and Ochako in My Hero Academy.

Like its trailer, VTuber legend The anime will tell the story of Yuki Tanaka, a former salary slave who becomes the pure and polite Awayuki Korone online. One night, she accidentally left her streaming show and got drunk, making jokes and making crude comments while watching the archived videos.
