Alaska Airlines launches new menu for first class and main class

Travelers flying with alaska airline now there will be more options when it comes to food.

The Seattle-based carrier has added a host of new menu items in first class and main cabin, in the hope of giving travelers a wider selection of fresher food on board.

Alaska is doubling the number of pre-order items available for the main cabin and offering five appetizer choices for first-class passengers. The carrier is also adding a peanut butter and jelly classic sandwich without peanuts, which will instead be made with toasted cashews and oat butter.

“We’ve worked hard to give guests of all ages a wider range of food options, from comfort classics to healthier options that represent vibrant flavors at the same time. act of the West Coast,” Todd Traynor-Corey, Alaska’s executive director of guest products, said in a statement.

In addition to the new menu items, Alaska plans to return to using glassware in first class on regional Embraer E175 flights and to bring back printed menus on larger planes that operate flights. coast to coast and Hawaii.

First class

  • Breakfast: Beecher Mushroom Omelette, Chicken Sausage Breakfast Bowl, and Blueberry Lemon Pancakes.
  • Lunch: Salad seasoned with apple wood bacon, Korean grilled chicken sandwich, and caramelized onion Angus burger.
  • Dinner: Chimichurri beef steak, herb-roasted chicken, lemon dill pasta and ginger beef stir-fry noodles. Some flights will also feature Beecher’s flagship cheese and macaroni option, and select flights departing from the San Francisco Bay Area will include pork carnitas tamale on the menu.
  • Vegetarian pre-order options include harissa and chorizo ​​frittata made with Just Egg—a vegetable substitute for eggs—spicy tofu and white bean chili with toasted polenta.

main cabin

  • Breakfast: Turkey, bacon and tomato sandwich, and smoked salmon sandwich.
  • Lunch and dinner: Two new salads designed with the Evergreens Pacific Northwest salad chain called “Stand Banh Mi” and “Strawberry Fields for Chevre.” It will also introduce two new rolls, including a Mediterranean-style chicken shawarma roll and one with chicken and mango.
  • Alaska will bring back Tillamook cheese sandwiches for flights to and from Hawaii.

Alaska said it will also start serving Tire Amber Ale from New Belgium Brewing, which bills itself as the first carbon-neutral beer. Additionally, the Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing Hazy IPA and Schilling Hard Cider will join the first-class pre-order menu in July.
