He replied to an email saying she just wanted a friendship with a string of messages, asking to know how she could be so sure and accusing her of rejecting his love for her sake. He is immature and cowardly.
Ms. Wesko answers less often and more concisely. But over the next few years, she started experiencing severe, unexplained pain, she said, and was taken to the emergency room multiple times. She said she couldn’t find a doctor who could treat her condition, and in desperation she emailed Dr Cahill in 2018 to ask if he knew of a good doctor in Colorado, where is she alive or not.
Eventually, she was diagnosed with endometriosis and needed a specific type of surgery. The specialists were located in New York, at Lenox Hill Hospital, and Dr. Cahill arranged for them to take over her case. “He jumped in and took over everything,” she said.
Her health plan would not cover procedures performed out of state, so Dr. Cahill arranged for both the hospital and the surgeon to pay them free. But he insisted that Ms. Wesko come see him for a preoperative examination twice.
When Ms. Wesko objected to an exam on January 30, 2019, according to her lawsuit, “Dr. Cahill insisted that as her referring physician, he needed to get it done. The implication was clear: She needed to comply with Dr. Cahill’s request, or else she wouldn’t be able to receive the surgery he had arranged and that she desperately needed.

She said there were no nurses or guardians in the exam room, as is the norm in most doctor’s offices.
