Overthrow! Climate Governance Initiative (UK) • Getting there?

From MasterSource

By Robert Bradley Jr. — June 7, 2023

“Ours Mission is mobilizing councils around the world to accelerate the net zero transition, guided by the World Economic Forum’s Principles of Effective Climate Governance.”

ESG warnings are politicized for corporations. The Climate Management Initiative (CGI), located at the University of Cambridge (UK), wants to take you down in the name of “saving the planet”. Instead of debating climate alarms and forced energy transitions, CGI wants to take it on and race against Hayek’s Road to slaveryUtopia is Climate Stabilization (or something like that).

The UK Climate Governance Initiative is based on the following premise:

Climate change is a global emergency. Businesses play an important role in the necessary transformation. Boards must take the lead in this.

Our Mission, Vision & Values (This):

Ours Mission is mobilizing councils around the world to accelerate the net zero transition, guided by the World Economic Forum’s Principles of Effective Climate Governance.

Ours core purpose is enabling effective climate corporate governance and mobilizing boards to act.

Ours vision are the majority of key councils that actively manage their organizations to ensure they contribute fully to addressing the global climate challenge.

Ours value underpin everything we do. We focus on impact, collaboration and entrepreneurship.

Concentrated impact – We are highly motivated to make a difference through effective climate governance, using impact as a prism for our decision making.

cooperate – We work with others with similar goals to achieve our mission, emphasizing the importance of cooperation over competition.

business – We act fast, be creative and learn from our own and others’ actions.

Our Ambition 2025

We see the next three years as a pivotal moment in responding to the global challenge posed by climate change. The IPCC’s 2021 report signals a ‘code red’ for humanity and that global emissions need to be halved by 2030 to ensure the average temperature rise does not exceed 1.5 degrees by 2050. The business community must act now to move from commitment to action, but lacks the tools, skills and expertise to do so effectively to create climate-related opportunities. and respond to risks. The boards are dedicated to driving this change, asking the right questions and posing a powerful challenge to the long-term resilience of the companies they oversee.

Ours ambitious is for the Boards to be transformed through the implementation of the World Economic Forum Principles for Effective Climate Governance. This will be evidenced by the progress of companies whose board members are active members of CGI Chapters over the next 3 years and the overall increase in the number of companies planning to transform. compatible with 1.5 degree scenario. CGI Chapters have a vital role to play in realizing this Ambition, with the support of the Executive Board and the Secretariat.

Conclusion

That’s right, it takes a business to tell an organization like this stay away from your property and don’t disturb employees. To go far. To argue rather than propagate.
