Barron’s Hire Politico’s Cassella on Economics and Policy
Megan Cassella, a reporter for Politico, has been hired by Barron’s to be in charge of economics and policy.
She will start on Monday.
Cassella has been with Politico for more than five years and is primarily a trade reporter. Previously, Cassella worked for Reuters based out of Washington, covering domestic economics, politics, and the 2016 presidential campaign.
In that role, she first started talking about trade, including the rise of Donald Trump as the populist candidate vowed to renegotiate NAFTA and Hillary Clinton’s careful move on the Trade Agreement. Trans-Pacific Partnership.
A native of DC, Cassella earned her bachelor’s degrees in business journalism and international politics at UNC-Chapel Hill.
