A pattern is forming of absenteeism at Christmas parties for fear of Covid, one restaurant owner said.
Chris Seager, who runs Seagers Restaurant in Gorseinon, in Swansea, said the festive period is “profitable” for the hospitality industry as long as they host Christmas parties.
He added that although some shows were absent, the cancellations were not “excessive”.
Penarth restaurateur Huw Pickford said there is “a fear” Christmas won’t happen again for the hospitality industry.
