If I could give anyone one piece of advice to anyone just starting out and trying to get comfortable with concepts like exposure triangles, it would be to put it into practice one piece at a time. Many people hear that manual mode is the best way to learn and the only mode that professionals use. It’s not only untrue that pros don’t use other camera modes, but trying to manage all your settings at once when you’re just starting out can be overwhelming. Choose a semi-automatic mode such as aperture mode and experiment with how changing a setting gives you different results and creative control.
