By far the most common mistake I’ve seen (and one that I’ve made a lot of) is simply editing too far, most often with regards to color. There’s a fine line between brilliant and flashy, and it can be easy to lose sight of this during retouching simply because we spend so much time on an image and lose that bit of perspective. The easiest way to combat this is to take a short break between editing and a simple export to give your eyes a chance to recover.
