I am a real lover of the basics. In fact, I’d say that more than half of my wardrobe consists of basics that can be mixed and matched to create effortless and chic outfits. While it can sometimes make sense to spend a little more on an item, I rarely don’t spend more than $50 on the basics of my wardrobe. For example, many of my favorite basic shirts are actually under $40.
