Originally launched in November 2021, the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello 2023 is now available in Malaysia for RM99,900 for the Standard version. Meanwhile, the V100 Mandello S variant is priced at RM 115,900 and all prices exclude road tax, insurance and registration.
The V100 Mandello is arguably Moto Guzzi’s most complex motorcycle and is touted as the world’s first motorcycle with adaptive aerodynamics. This is done with the windscreens on the side of the V100’s fuel tank lowering and lifting in response to speed and driving mode, providing more protection from the rider’s draft when needed.
Engine power comes from a V-twin horizontal stroke with DOHC and 1,042 cc capacity, producing 115 horsepower and 105 Nm of torque. This is matched to a six-speed transmission with a drivetrain sending power to the rear wheels.
The ride-by-wire throttle, 11MP Marelli ECU and six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) offer three engine maps, four-level traction control as well as four selectable driving modes. The touring V100 Mandello offers a more comfortable, upright riding position with an electrically controlled windscreen.
The V100 Mandello S has the higher-spec Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active electronic suspension, quickshifter, heated grips and Moto Guzzi’s MIA. The MIA module allows connection to the driver’s smartphone with the ability to control various phone functions displayed on the 5-inch TFT-LCD screen.
The price of the V100 Mandello in Malaysia does not include luggage but is sold separately with other Moto Guzzi accessories. The V100 Mandello Standard comes in Bianco Polare (Ultra White) and Rosso Magma (Lava Red) colors while the S version comes in Verde 2121 (Blue 2121) and Grigio Avanguardia (Pioneer Grey).
