The Experia will be the first phone of the new generation of Energica. As a long-distance traveller, Experia will indeed be something different from what the company has done so far. Giampiero Testoni, CTO of Energica Motor Company, says the intention behind the Experia is “to create the first electric motorcycle created specifically for lovers of long-distance bikes.”

The Experia features the new PMASynRM (Permanent Magnet Assist Synchronous Resistive Motor), which is lighter in weight and in a lower position than other Energica models. Energica claims the engine’s peak power is 75 kW (101 hp) at 7,500 rpm with 85 lb-ft of torque. The claimed top speed is 112 mph, and the bike reportedly accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.

The battery is also new, with the largest capacity of any Energica model to date. Maximum output is 22.5 kWh and will charge from 0-80% in 40 minutes on a Level 3 charger. This is also the first model to use a Level 3 charger, although it will also use a Level 2 charger. and 1 with longer overnight charging time.

The big question when it comes to an electric touring motorcycle is what range it has. Energica claims the Experia will go 153 miles in the combined city/highway range or 261 miles in urban areas. This is a big step up from the 2022 Ego’s combined 100-mile and 123-mile city range, and Level 3 fast charging capabilities certainly benefit those looking for longer adventures.

Suspension and brake system

In front of the Energica is a ZF Sachs suspension with 150mm of travel and adjustable preload, extension and compression. The rear suspension is also ZF Sachs with 55mm travel and 150mm wheel travel. Experia will equip Brembo 330mm double discs for front brakes and 240mm Brembo single discs for rear brakes.

Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tires ride on 17-inch aluminum wheels. Saddle height is 33.3 inches and the Experia’s weight is 573 lb.

The Experia will also have electronic aids such as cruise control, six levels of traction control and four driving modes: Eco, Urban, Rain and Sport.
