Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Modi said, “Recently, the country has entered the era of fifth generation (5G) mobility and Internet service. We have used internet service up to 4G so far. Now, 5G is about to bring a big change. ”

The Prime Minister said 5G will revolutionize the education sector.

“In front of smart services, smart classrooms and smart teaching, 5G will take our education system to the next level. Students will get to experience it. Virtual reality and Internet of Things in schools. Gujarat has taken the first step in the country for this, through its Mission of Excellence schools,” he said.

Prime Minister Modi said the change in the education sector over the past two decades in Gujarat is unprecedented.

H said, “Twenty years ago, 20 out of 100 children didn’t go to school. A large number of them Who attended school, dropped out of school when they reached standard 8. The girls’ situation was even worse. There are villages where girls are not sent to school. In tribal areas, few educational centers do not have facilities to teach Science. ”

“As the Chief Minister of Gujarat, I myself went from village to village and demanded Everyone to send their daughter to school. As a result today almost every son and daughter in Gujarat starts going to school and goes on to university,” added the Prime Minister.

In the field of education in Gujarat, the Prime Minister said there is always something new and some big and unique experiments have been done.

“We established the Teachers Institute Education, the first teacher training university in Gujarat. In two decades, the people of Gujarat have shown the transformation of their state education. During these two decades, more than 1.25 thousand new classrooms have been built in Gujarat and more than 2 thousand teachers have been employed,” said Prime Minister Modi.

He said the central government has decided to build more than 14,500 ‘PM Shri’ schools across the country. These schools will be model schools for the new National Education Policy across the country. He said efforts are underway to conduct courses in several Indian languages ​​including Gujarati.

The new National Education Policy, which the Prime Minister said is an attempt to bring in talent and innovation. “Students have now begun to be offered the study of science, technology and medicine in Indian languages,” he said.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the Mission School of Excellence was formed with a total of 10,000 crore.

During the event at Trimandir, Prime Minister Modi launched projects worth approx 4,260 crore. The mission will help strengthen the educational infrastructure in Gujarat through the establishment of new classrooms, smart classrooms, computer laboratories and overall upgrading of school infrastructure in Gujarat.
