When raising Flavien Prat, Zero Tolerance ranks second as Hear my prayers posted the opening fractions of: 21.99 and: 44.16. She took over at the eighth pole and easily dropped the Hear My Prayer, but had to fend off the Tapwater charging stand approaching the power line. Tapwater comes in second at 1/2 the length of Hear My Prayer in third and Ginja ranked fourth in the field of seven horses.
Zero Tolerance, owned by Custom Truck Accessories, Jason Hall, Joe Kelly and Michael Riordan, made its debut as Alvarado on Sunday. With Peter Miller as her trainer, she won the Unzip Me Stakes award in October at Santa Anita and received an optional claimant on November 20 at Del Mar. She now has a 4-1-0 record in six starts and makes $215,000.
“It’s just her (Intolerance), I know she can run,” Alvarado said after Las Cienegas. “She’s a horse that can go fast or take the lead. At first when we started her in Del Mar we could tell she was a nice person. We won a few times there. and then brought her here. She loves 6:30, so I know she’s going to run really fast for me, she’s a little fresh, so that’s what we expected of her. “
Zero Tolerance was bred in Kentucky by Hall, Kelly, Louis Eymard and Herschel Martindale from the Torreadora El Prado mare. She is a half-sister to the winner Ricoh Woodbine Mile (G1T) of 2019 El Tormenta (Stormy Atlantic Ocean ). Torreadora’s newest ponies include a 2 year old Munnings the name Domerelle is fat and longing Tapit pony. It was bred back to Tapit in 2022.
