The brand new part of Taito in Bobble Puzzles the series comes out this spring and in a surprising yet endearing move, Bobble Everybubble Puzzle! there will be a whole new mode celebrate Space Invaders. (Thanks, gemstone!)
No, you didn’t misread it at all. On the 45th anniversary of the legendary arcade game, Bub, Bob, Peb and Pab are able to shoot down all the invaders with colored bubble magic in a mode called ‘Puzzle Bobble vs. Space Invaders’. Simple and effective.
You can play this new mode with up to four players cooperatively, and the goal is to remove the bubbles marked with the invader by sticking three or more bubbles of the same color on them.
There’s also a twist – if you’re observant, you can see that the little dinosaurs don’t have their usual bubble catapult and that’s because you can just shoot bubbles directly upwards. Just like Space Invaders! You can scroll left and right, but no smart wall-turning tricks are used here.
