WR Ryan Niblett, RB Tre Wisner committed to Texas Longhorns
Texas landed a pair of rookies after the spring game on Saturday, as broad receivers Ryan Niblett and run again Bamboo Wisner both are committed to joining coach Steve Sarkisian’s program.
Niblett was ranked 96th in the ESPN 300 for the 2023 rating. Eisenhower High School’s 5-foot-wide, 170-pound receiver in Houston became Texas’ highest-ranked ESPN 300 employer in its class.
“The whole hiring process is a journey,” Niblett tweeted. “I’m incredibly grateful to have been given so many opportunities to take the game I love to the next level.”
Niblett’s offer list also includes Alabama, USC, Texas A&M, LSU and Penn State.
He joins full-back Jamel Johnson, full-back Dylan Spencer and full-back S’Maje Burrell as ESPN 300 leads in the Longhorns’ 2023 recruiting class.
Niblett, Johnson, Spencer, Burrell and Wisner were all from Texas until Sarkisian employees continued to hit the roads in the state.
Wisner, a potential four-star Desoto High School client, chose Longhorns over Oklahoma and Texas A&M.
