Will DeVonta Smith stay hot?

Our NFL Nation reporters answer questions about fantasy football every Tuesday during the NFL season. Here’s what they said after Week 14.

Should Imaginary Managers Stop Pursuing Big? Gabe Davis week?

Probably. It is clear that he did not perform at the level expected. Overall, apart from Peach Stefon, the Bills’ wide receiver has underperformed this year, leading the league with a drop of 6.3%. Davis leads the Bills with seven relegations. Even so, he is clearly second in terms of stats (71) and midfield Josh Allen keep looking for him. This offense has the potential to play at a high level but has underperformed. Davis still has the potential for a breakout game, but more consistent fantasy picks should be preferred. As fantasy managers have learned, the big games don’t happen all that often. — Alain Getzenberg

Do you think Carolina wants to run as much as she did on Sunday in Seattle, so compromise dj mooreimaginary potential of? Or was last week a result of game flow rather than desired game plan?

Yes, the Panthers want to be heavy no matter who the opponent is, which makes Moore somewhat less effective. But his off-beat performance on Sunday had more to do with his injury than not being on the match plan. He has good chemistry with midfielders Sam Darnold and that will continue to be used. — David Newton

should we read it as People of Donovan-Jones catching 8 out of 12 targets while having less health Amari Cooper Struggling with just two grabs of seven goals?

Deshaun Watson so far have had a better relationship with DPJ than Cooper. But Cooper is battling a hip injury he picked up last week in practice, and that affected his limited production on Sunday. At this point, WR are both likely to lead the Browns in game-to-game reception. And with the game struggling, the Browns will probably throw the ball over the edge. That would spur Cleveland’s production of all of the WRs in the fantasy knockouts. — Jake Trotter

Effective working week in a row from DJ Chark: is he a viable option for the rest of the run?

Yes and no. Yes, Chark was productive and could make an explosive play at any moment, but outside of Amon-Ra St. Brown, the Lions are spreading wealth offensively, using all their weapons. What does that mean D’Andre Swift can be targeted, or the recipient Kalif Raymond and Josh Reynoldsand then when you add rookie Jameson William in the mix, it makes the offense scary. So I don’t necessarily rely on Chark to come up with individual big numbers with so many options for Jared Goff, about fantasy football. — Eric Woodyard

Three different Rams receivers scored at least a fantasy 9.5 on Thursday night. They’re all risky, but if you’re listing one of them, which one is it?

Van Jefferson. Jefferson is about to have a successful 2021 season — with 50 catches for 802 yards and six touchdowns — and has recovered well from a knee injury. He is also the one most likely to be the threat in the current corps in the red zone. Sean McVay said he was impressed by what Tutu Atwell was done in recent weeks, but I still choose the older recipient in this case. — Sarah’s Bar

Chef Dalvin made 15 times for 23 yards and has been held under 10 imaginary points in three of his past four games. Should we be nervous as we get closer to the fantasy knockout?

There is certainly some room for concern. Sunday’s 23-yard output was further exacerbated when 40% of the starting line of attack was injured. But Cook is showing some signs of wear and tear in the long run. He played more quick shots in 14 weeks (626) than in any other NFL season, by a long shot, and only 33.7% of his dashes went further than expected, according to Only NFL’s next generation number. The most optimistic outlook would note that coach Kevin O’Connell is highly unlikely to leave the running game from a volume perspective. — Kevin Seifert

Consecutive big matches from DeVonta Smith: Do you think we can count on his steadfastness for the rest of the ride?

Smith’s goals have fluctuated in the better part of the season but are more stable towards the end of the season, as he has received eight or nine goals in each of the past five games. Jalen hurts continues to develop as a passer (he’s top in midfield rating at 108.4) and has enjoyed a good relationship with Smith. I think Smith continues to produce. — Tim McManus

What should imaginary managers take from impressions? Brock Purdy the game against Tampa Bay?

Two things stand out the most: First, how well Purdy handles pressure. And second, that Purdy not only manages the game, but also executes many big games. Purdy finished 6/7 for 108 yards and two touchdowns when under pressure in the first half on Sunday and showed an ability to make defenders miss then send the ball down the field. That bodes well for the series of players who rely on Purdy to get the ball for them. — Nick Wagoner
