The 2023 Toyota Sequoia Not Land Cruiser. We’re not sure what its numbers will be in terms of approach, departure and breakout, but overall it should be a pretty formidable package.
An area where Sequoia defeated the Land Cruiser and Lexus The LX 600 can be found in its lifetime. The large SUV’s standard engine is a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 that makes 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque. A similar engine is available in the LC and LX, but it lacks the Sequoia’s mixture component that clamps a powerful electric motor between the engine and the 10-speed automatic transmission. Suffice it to say that the Sequoia’s 104 lb-ft gain over the Land Cruiser will be felt from behind the wheel.
It’s also important to reiterate that the Land Cruiser and Sequoia are designed with different buyers in mind. The LC could be more compact, with what we think must have had greater ground clearance. Sequoia will probably be a better home vehicle and will almost certainly be better sled oil-shore. Obviously, balance is part of the design direction of any vehicle. With that in mind, many Americans are likely to appreciate the benefits of the Sequoia over the Land Cruiser.
In the end, we all want to have all the options presented to us we at Toyota agency. The loss of the Land Cruiser is painful. But the 4Runner, which in its TRD Off-Road version benefits from KDSS disconnection shaker technology, is still in the mix. And the appearance of The latest Lexus LX 600 in the very high-end segment and the addition of the legitimate off-road-oriented Sequoia TRD Pro on the lower end (but still pricey, though we don’t know exactly how expensive yet) helps alleviate the pain at least a bit.
