What Does This Strange Bright Room Function Do?
If you haven’t dig deep into Lightroom’s new masking features, you’re definitely missing out on some impressively capable and easy-to-use tools. However, a function inside this new system is a bit strange and it is not immediately clear what it is and how to use it effectively. This helpful video tutorial will show you the Intersect function, the logic behind it, and how to use it to make better, more efficient, and more precise edits to your images.
Coming to you from Matt Kloskowski, this great video tutorial will show you the details of the Intersect function in Lightroom’s new masking panel. The name of the tool may be derived from the logical operator “and”, which means that an overall statement is true if and only if each of its components is true. In other words, the Intersect operator allows you to create masks that have many rules for their application, such as luminosity masks combined with gradient masks. This allows you to create masks much more efficiently and accurately, and once you master the Intersect function, it opens up a lot of exciting creative possibilities. Check out the video above for the full summary from Kloskowski.
