Focus is without a doubt one of the most basic and important, but fortunately in landscape work we often have a little extra time to make sure it gets to exactly where it needs to be. . Like Smith, I often want to avoid stacking the focus if possible. If you have things like fast-moving clouds or wind-blown trees, it can cause problems, and it’s also more work and cost on the post-processing side of things. That being said, if you have a very close foreground element and you want everything to be sharp from there all the way to infinity, focus stacking might be the best candidate, but for many shots, You might be surprised at what you can do in a single frame with some careful engineering.
