What are you playing this week, Destructoid? -05/04/22 – Destructoid
I don’t wear a tie
Welcome to Whatcha Been Playing? Thank you for taking the time to visit our own little weekly Cirque de Puree. I hope that the past seven days have been very good to you and those around you, and that you can find moments of joy this weekend. I know that you all deserve a good time, so make it happen with whatever spare time you find for yourself.
You think I wrote this from My brand new place? Unfortunately, as there were still curtains to be ironed, the chairs had to be closed and pipes to be installed. Oh, I’ve also set an intruder alarm that I’ve been told is ‘down’ so as not to confuse and frustrate me in the slightest. Hi, I’m new, neighborhood. Today, I have some drainage work to do. I’m not a plumber, but I’ve played a lot Mario Bros. game so I’m pretty sure I know what I’m doing. See you on the other side… drenched, I guess.
Memories of Madness
Inspired by our own CJ Andriessen, who is currently embarking on Batman: Arkham trilogy for the first time, the boy went on and installed the adventures of the Dark Knight himself. This is despite having 100% of all three titles in no less than two to three times each. Not to mention the hundreds of hours spent honing my beating skills in the Riddler Challenge.
The simple fact of the matter is that this trilogy covers three great releases and is a franchise that deserves to be celebrated in the same respects we hold. Metal Gear Solid, Half-Life, and Grand Theft Auto. The Batman: Arkham The sports trilogy is beautifully designed, deeply immersive, and creatively and realistically presented Batman’s fascinating world. And that’s why I’ll run them, over and over, until I can’t run them anymore.
Mayday Mayhem
So, before going back to the world of Duh Bat, I wish you all very happy weekend. Of course, we can’t start Saturday until we get a response from you, dear community member. It’s the first weekend of a new month and I hope that you are off to a successful start. Check out the comments section below and share with your community members Whatcha Been Playing? It’s definitely been the quietest release month of 2022 so far, so it’s a good chance to get some Q1 gems under your belt. Whatever you’re currently on, tell us all about it, friends!
Wishing all of us a great weekend at Destructoid.
