Game Grumps, the studio that created the lighthearted visual novel Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulatorare turning to the horror genre with their new title coming soon Homie.
The game has been announced for PC and consoles and is said to be out “later this year”, however no official release has been given at the time of writing. The game marks a drastic change in the studio’s pace, but Homebody game director Jory Griffis says the work on Dream Daddy has provided the team with invaluable experiences:
“We were obsessed with horror games, so leaving Dream Daddy was a natural shift to explore the horror genre. We’re happy to retain our narrative and narrative values. story we learned while making Dream Daddy and using them in a game with a completely different tone and ambitious new mechanics.”
