Watch these tanks glide through the Norwegian snow during training exercises
Drifting tanks in Norway sounds like a lot of fun, but it’s actually a military training exercises. The awesome video above was released in 2016, but we never tire of watching it, and with new snow covering the midwest, we wished we had a couple of tanks to float around. . The clip shows the US Marines and Norwegian Telemark Battalion studying their tank driving techniques in winter conditions in Rena, Norway. The tank used in the video is a Norwegian Leopard 2 Classic M1A1 Abrams main battle tank and tank. In addition to allowing tank operators to hone their skills, the exercise is also designed to improve the tracked vehicle’s cold-weather driving performance. Remember, these are experts on a closed course, so you probably shouldn’t try this in civic next time you hit a piece of ice.
