Taylor Swift delivered on her Everything is so good short, and Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien, who play a couple in it, really give their all in the roles. The short film has just been released on YouTube.
In it, Swift recounts her own past, depicting the high points of Sink and O’Brien’s romance and all of it falling apart because of their age gap. Swift 21st Birthday Party mentioned in the lyrics (which her ex Jake Gyllenhaal allegedly ignored) appears in the video, as well as a strong argument Swift wrote about Sink and O’Brien’s characters after dinner. Swift also appears with a very special role at the end worth watching.

It’s been really great working with Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien. They’re absolutely amazing — I’m just astounded by what they’ve done in this short film. I wrote this short and wanted to direct it, and the only two people I could imagine playing two characters, were Sadie and Dylan. If Sadie – she’s the first I go to, and if Sadie says no, I don’t think I’ll make it. I don’t think I’m going to make a movie. I think I would be like, ‘This is a sign.’ I enjoy working with friends or people who I think would be excited to work with me. I don’t really want to have to convince anyone. I don’t care about that at all. I have never made a short film before. I’ve directed several music videos, but I need to reach out to people just like that — people who can believe I’m capable. And Sadie got it right away. Dylan said, ‘yes,’ and I watched all of his stuff. I am a big fan of him. And both of them, they went out and just left all the fields there in that short film. They just act their deception.
