Warren is eager to see Fury Fight On
Athlete Frank Warren says he wants to see WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury make the most of the peak years of his career by fighting.
Fury, who saved Dillian Whyte for six rounds at Wembley Stadium last month, has reiterated his intention to retire from professional boxing with a 32-0-1 record.
“Personally, I don’t feel that he [Fury] should retire,” Warren said. “I don’t think he’s even reached his peak. He won’t have mileage on the clock – he’s had a fight for two years.
“To come back two or three years later, he won’t be at his peak. Whatever you do, do it when you’re at your best. ”
WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman has said he will contact Fury’s team this week about whether he intends to retire, but Warren said there are no conversations at this time.
“There is no relevance there. There’s no mandatory deadline, so what are you going to talk to him about? ‘ said Warren.
“Why did they strip him of his clothes? There is no mandatory due date. The only time you will be disqualified is if you do not fulfill your requests. I cannot determine what he will do.”
