Volvo on Tuesday announced that it plans to adopt Tesla’s EV charging standard. Future Volvo EVs will have a NACS . connector for North America, while Volvo EVs will have access to the Tesla Supercharger network in 2024 through the Volvo Cars app and CCS adapter.
Should Tesla NACS connector becomes a fitting standard? That is what SAE International, one of the standards organizations for the automotive industry, has stated that it wants to do. That would essentially allow other companies to manufacture connectors and ports and ensure interoperability.
And Nissan Leaf 2024 starts under $30,000and it’s back for another model year virtually unchanged. It continues with the CHAdeMO DC fast charging interface that allows for two-way charging plus more locations than the Tesla NACS interface.
