Volkswagen Amarok 2023 pre-orders open, direct configuration


The waiting time is almost over, Volkswagen Amarok buyer.

Pre-orders for new Amarok dual taxi is now open and the configurator online on the Volkswagen Australia website, ahead of first deliveries in early May.

Volkswagen has shared images of some of the first cars registered in Australia, followed by images taken by Australian buyers awaiting delivery.

When it appeared, Volkswagen expected the Amarok Style to be the best-selling model.

As previously indicated, the Aventura and PanAmericana will be the first cars Amarok models Down Under, with lower-end models not far behind.

Three engines will be offered: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel (in two tunings), a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 and a 2.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine.

While the Ranger will be offered with a 2.3-litre petrol engine in other markets, in Australia it’s diesel only.

Volkswagen will offer five trim levels: Core, Life, Style, PanAmerica and Aventura.

Prices start at $50,990 before on-road and stretch to $79,990 before Australia.

The brake towing capacity is up to 3500kg and has a combined total mass of 6500kg. Load capacity up to 1200kg depending on model.

The wading depth has been increased from 500 to 800mm and thanks to the now shorter overhang, the forward approach angle is now 29 degrees, departure angle is 21 degrees and ramp angle is 21 degrees.
