Qantas Club subscriptions may appeal to U.S. tourists because Qantas Club membership includes access to American Airlines Admiral Club – even for those traveling on domestic flights marketed and operated by American Airlines with Advantages attached number. Due to unclear online information regarding the Club Administrator’s lounge usage policy for Qantas Club members, TPG contacted American Airlines for a comment. In a statement, the US representative said:

How do you purchase a Qantas Club membership?
To purchase a Qantas Club membership online, visit this site. Normally, there is an activation fee of AU$99 (about $62); however, I did not previously have a frequent flyer account with Qantas, and the airline did not charge an activation fee during registration. Instead, I was prompted to pay a total of AU$324 (about $203) for my one-year subscription to Qantas Club.
Qantas will deliver your membership kit within three weeks if you have a US address. Alternatively, you can pay AU$40 (about $25) for express delivery. You will receive your kit in three to seven business days with express delivery.
In addition to the ability to access Admirals and Qantas clubs, a Qantas Club membership offers the following benefits when traveling on Qantas:

- Additional checked baggage allowance (on Qantas flights with QF flight number only).

Each authorized user receives Admin Club access for themselves and up to two companions. Just note that authorized users only have access to the Admin Club instead of the whole thing Members of the admin club.

You can also pay annually to become a member of the Administrators Club. New membership prices range from $550 to $650 or 55,000 to 65,000 miles based on Status AAdvantage.
Once passed
You can purchase a one-time Admiral Club pass for $59 or 5,900 miles.
Reward for loyalty choice
Earlier this year, American revealed Reward for loyalty choice. Depending on the Loyalty Choice Reward tier you reach, you can choose between a one-time Administrators Club membership card or an annual membership.
Elite status from foreign Oneworld supplier
If you keep Oneworld Sapphire or Emerald Status with a non-American or Alaskan airline, you can access the Admiral’s Club when you travel on domestic US flights.

The recent Qantas Club sale is a great way to access the Admiral’s Club for a fraction of the price American Airlines charges. To be fair, though, it’s possible that the Administrators Club employees won’t be aware of the possibility of gaining access with a Qantas Club membership, so you should be prepared to prove your eligibility. eligible if agents consider your Qantas Club membership to not provide access to Club Administrators.
