With the major golf championship returning to The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts, for the first time since 1988, the US Open is off to a head start. The first 18 holes saw a number of stars shoot to the top of the leaderboard, and while many have fallen, Collin Morikawa had a great Friday as he managed to end the day as a 54-hole lead.

Rory McIlroy is looking to win consecutive tournaments while claiming his first major championship since 2014 and the fifth of his career. He got off to a great start, shooting a 3 under 67 to open the game and go 17 holes without magic before a nasty finish in the final game. McIlroy is one of the heads of the club by the time he finished the game and was among the stars trying to compete before the weekend.

Joining him in the fray are Dustin Johnson and several other big names including Jon Rahm and Will Zalatoris, all three behind the lead entering Friday. The world number 1 Scottie Scheffler has also put yourself in dispute after a great attempt to get past nine points in round 2. On the other end of the coin was Phil Mickelson, who beat with 8 of 78 of his first 18 holes and sat only the last few places. at the only bookie he managed to finish the big game in his career.

Even beyond those golfers, there’s so much to keep track of this week that it can be overwhelming at times. Don’t worry: We have you covered.
