Universal Orlando announces new Minion Land with a new attraction, cafe and more
Get ready to say “Hello-Bello” to more Minions at Universal Orlando. Soon, a brand new attraction inspired by 2022’s “Minions: The Rise of Gru” and a Minions-themed cafe will join the fan-favorite Despicable Me Minion Mayhem at Universal. Studios Florida — creating a whole new Minion land in the park.
Set to premiere in the summer of 2023, Illumination’s Minion Blast brings guests to Villain-Con: a global conference for crime, where supervillains hope to see if they have what it takes to make it. Join the ranks of the world’s most notorious supervillains — The Vicious 6.
Universal describes Villain-Con Minion Blast as a family-friendly, “interactive, Blaster game experience” where guests will test their “villain skills as they compete against each other for the family title.” join the ranks of the series’ most notorious villains.”

True to Universal’s grand opening day promise that their park will allow guests to “go to the movies”, Villain-Con Minion Blast will combine cutting-edge screen technology with complex physical settings to create immersive experience in which guests become part of the action.
Instead of a traditional ride-hailing vehicle, you’ll step onto a motion-based path and wield a Blaster as you wind your way through a series of villainous scenes; You will earn points by exploding items and causing as much mischief as you can. Along the way, you will encounter familiar characters from the Minions series and of course a lot of mischievous yellow Minions.

In addition to the new attraction, Universal is opening a Minion cafe. If the menu is similar to the location of the cafe at Universal Studios Hollywood, you can find a variety of sandwiches, soups and salads along with some snacks and drinks featuring Minions’ favorite – bananas.
Universal hinted at other “surprises” to come to the land inspired by famous characters from the Illumination blockbuster series.
Universal has yet to release specifics on the height requirements for the attraction, but more details will be announced in the months before the attraction opens in the summer of 2023. That should get you in the way. plenty of time to improve his supervisory skills before attending Villain-Con.
