Act Fast: How to Get Pre-Sold Tickets for Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’

Taylor Swift announced her 2023 tour earlier this week after her latest album “Midnights” broke multiple records on Spotify and Billboard. “The Eras Tour” is a big moment for Taylor Swift fans – it’s her first tour since before the pandemic, and the set list will include a total of six albums. She also has some great supporting artists going on tour with her, including Paramore, HAIM and Phoebe Bridgers (which means we’ll definitely be streaming “Nothing New” on this tour) .

Tickets to “The Eras Tour” won’t go on sale to the public until November 18, and many Swifties are worried about the possibility of ticket theft. This is because of the limited time to travel to the US, the ticket price has been announced in advance and the price is relatively affordable. Tickets will start at just $49.

Luckily, you don’t have to be the mastermind to score a ticket. Those who purchased tickets for her “Lover Fest” tour (which was canceled during the pandemic) will receive priority access to pre-sale tickets as long as they use the same Ticketmaster account. There are also two options available for other Swifties to gain access to mass pre-sale tickets starting on November 15th. Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan and Capital One Pre-Sell.

Ticketmaster Verified Fan Subscription

Ticketmaster has a system called Verified Fans that allows potential spectators to sign up for pre-sale access to events. It’s meant to combat bots that buy a lot of big tickets when they go live, making it more likely that real fans will actually come to the event.

Once you’ve signed up as a Verified Fan for a specific event – in this case, “The Eras Tour” – your name will appear in a variety of categories. On November 14, the night before pre-sale tickets go live, those selected for pre-sale will receive a message in the bottle (aka email) with an access code; they can use it to buy tickets the next morning at 10 a.m. local time for the venue (so 10 a.m. ET for the Philadelphia shows, but 1 p.m. ET for the show shows in Los Angeles).

Signing up for a Verified Fan subscription doesn’t guarantee you access to pre-sale tickets, but registration is free and relatively simple – all you need is a Ticketmaster account.

To register, you will go to “The Eras Tour” subscription link on Ticketmaster. From there, it will take you into a virtual waiting room:

When the tour was first announced, fans on Twitter saw red because of the long wait to sign up. (I personally had to wait over four hours before getting to the actual sign-up page.) Now that we’re out of the woods with the initial wave of fans wanting to sign up, you’ll probably pass the stage. this. I checked out this morning and got to the registration page in less than a minute.

Once your place has lined up, it will redirect you to the registration page. Log into your Ticketmaster account when prompted and fill out the form, including your top three picks for concert dates. You’ll hit submit and you’ll get a confirmation message on your screen:

I’ll warn you that during the initial rush, the Ticketmaster system seemed a bit sophisticated with so many people trying to sign up at once. I had to refresh my page several times after hitting submit and re-fill the form twice before it finally passed. It worked out in the end, but be prepared with patience to watch out.

You can sign up until November 9 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Relax – the time you apply does not affect your chances of being selected.

While it’s definitely worth signing up for a Verified Fan in the hopes of getting early reservations, you don’t have to be the lucky pick to get pre-sale tickets. Having the right credit (or debit) card can also help you gain access.

New subscribers sign up. recent and not yet received card information will be ineligible if a new card is received after the Cardholder’s Pre-sale time or after the pre-sale tickets have been sold out.”

In short, this means that as long as you get your new card number and activate it before the November 15 pre-sale window begins, you’ll go gold.

Key point

For so many fans – myself included – Taylor Swift’s music has been a mainstay for most of our lives. I first heard her when “Tim McGraw” came out on the radio, and I’ve remained a fan of every album since. This tour is the culmination of years of new albums and re-releases, a tour bigger than the sky for many of his Swifties colleagues. So ticketing has the potential to become a maze of competition.

Making sure you’re signed up for pre-sale access using both the free Ticketmaster Verified Fans system and also with the Capital One card will be the best way to get your tickets to “The Eras Tour” “.

Remember that pre-sale tickets will go live on November 15 at 10 a.m. local time for Verified Fans and at 2 p.m. local time for Capital One cardholders. Set your watch and get ready to jump then fall down so you can get tickets for the best day. If you have pre-sale access and can help your friends buy tickets, you are sure to be a superstar on your team.

Until then, you can see I’m hearing “Midnights” on repeat.
