Ukraine war: Zelenskyy released ‘evidence’ video of Russian missiles deliberately hitting shopping malls | World News

Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed that Russia had intentionally targeted a shopping mall in the Ukrainian city of Kremenchuk, when he released a video showing a missile hitting the building.

In his regular nightly speech, the Ukrainian president said it was “obvious” – adding that Moscow had “wanted to kill as many people as possible” in an “act of state terrorism”.

He told the Ukrainian people he was providing a “piece of evidence” so that “no one would dare lie” about what happened.

Mr. Zelenskyy said: “The Russian missile hit this object on purpose. Obviously, it was an order.

“It is clear that the Russian assassins received such coordinates for this missile.

“They want to kill as many people as possible in a peaceful city, in an ordinary shopping mall.”

The president continued: “And for this act of state terror, as for all others, Russia will be held accountable.

“On the battlefield in Ukraine, by strengthening sanctions and of course, in court.”

At least 18 people were killed and about 36 people were missing after the incident.

Russia said the mall was unoccupied and that it attacked a nearby weapons depot.

But that assertion is contradicted by injured survivors including Ludmyla Mykhailets, 43, who said she was shopping there with her husband when the explosion threw her “head first”.

An injured man told Sky News that although he will be physically fine, he “moral shock”.

At one hospital we visited, 25 patients were being treated for their injuries following Monday’s attack.

G7 leaders have said that the attack is War Crimes.

During the summit in Germany, they said: “We, the leaders of the G7, solemnly condemn the heinous attack on a shopping center in Kremenchuk.

“We stand in solidarity with Ukraine to mourn the innocent victims of this brutal attack. Indiscriminate attacks on innocent civilians constitute a war crime.

“Russian President Putin and those responsible will be held accountable.”
