Ukraine War: Fighter dies in Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol three days after marriage | World News
A Ukrainian boxer locked in the Azovstal steel mill in Mariupol has died just three days after marrying a soldier.
Andrii, a member of the Ukrainian National Guard, and Valeriia Karpylenko exchanged silver foil rings during a ceremony inside the steel mill on May 5.
Mr. Karpylenko was killed just three days later.

His wife Valeriia has now promised to break free from the siege for her husband, vowing to “live for you”.

Ukrainian forces are entrenched in heavily bombed steel mills, the last line of defense in the besieged port city not under Russian control.
On Monday, Ukraine announced that all the elderly, women and children who were sheltering at the factory had been rescued and taken to safety.
As many as 2,000 Ukrainian fighter jets are believed to be at the factory, where they have been bombarded by Russian forces for more than 12 weeks.
