UK schools ban meat products because of climate change – Will you be disappointed by that?

The school has even asked parents to avoid putting meat in their packed lunches.

PARENTS have made the school’s decision to be “meat-free” permanently.

Students at Barrowford Primary School near Nelson, Lancashire, are only offered vegetarian dinners – and children are also advised not to bring meat with their packed lunches.

The new rule was introduced last year, but a letter notifying parents of the change was only sent out on Thursday.

And while the school claims it hasn’t received any complaints about its meals, Facebook is awash with disgruntled parents.

Zoe Douglas’s mother is so boiling over the situation that she is even trying to transfer her child to another school.

“It was a joke. I’m looking to transfer my school because I’ve had enough of that school,” she said.

“I think they forget that non-meat eaters and vegetarians have to take a lot of supplements. What supplements do they get at that school instead?

“Nothing, probably saving on food costs.”

This is not the first time Barrowford has appeared in the newspapers. A few years ago, they were criticized for “lack of structure,” for their policy of never reprimanding children.

Inspectors attack primary school where there are no naughty children and teachers are barred from speaking out – and rated it as low as possible by Ofsted

  • Barrowford Primary School in Lancashire branded ‘insufficient’ by Ofsted
  • Homeroom teacher Rachel Tomlinson has banned punishment of children
  • The school warns that it may be subject to special measures unless it improves
  • Parents call for Ms. Tomlinson’s resignation and complain about lack of structure

A school that refuses to discipline students who misbehave says there’s no such thing as a naughty child who has been given the worst possible rating.

Thereafter, 355 Barrowford Primary School students were asked to improve or face action after it was deemed ‘inappropriate’ by Government inspectors.

The school has faced ridicule and condemnation after the head teacher tore up the policy book and removed all punishments for bad students.

She also forbade teachers to speak out, insisting that no child is considered naughty.

The traditional fixed times for playtime and lunchtime are also eliminated with students deciding when they want to eat or take a break.

I guess they’ve reinstated at least one rule – the kids downright discourage eating meat, to save the world from climate change.

My wife tells horror stories about her school in England. There are a few teachers who have put in the effort, but there are also timekeepers focused on collecting their pensions who couldn’t be more concerned with the kids.

I also heard another story, during a dinner presentation by the head teacher of a needy school. She told us that it doesn’t matter how poor, needy or uneducated the parents are, each of them wants the absolute best for their child. Somehow, she did her job, despite the 300 lengthy reports she had to complete a year, each of which tied up with a limited funding source that the school desperately needed.

A few months after the headteacher interested her in talking, she was fired. She quietly transferred some money, not for her own benefit, but to help the kids – she used some of the budget money to buy the kids some sports equipment.

But she was arrested. The funds involved in those 300 useless wasted time reports are very strict regulations on how that money is spent. The head teacher’s attempt to enforce the basic judgment angered the remote officials she responded to. Officials don’t care that the headteacher is doing a great job, that the school in a deprived area is starting to rise up the rankings, as student and teacher engagement increases day by day. The more you start to get results. All the officials cared about was the headteacher who challenged their authority by not following their strict instructions for the letter. She must go.

My impression of the state education system in England is quite negative. Don’t get me wrong, there are many teachers who have made an effort, excellent islands, head teachers who burn their lives and health against the officials, trying to do exactly what their requests are. children in their charge.

There are also disinterested, lazy or incompetent teachers who quit teaching and try to find a job they can love, linger on wasting everyone’s time.

It’s the third type of teacher that scares and terrifies me – teachers who treat children as toys, toys for their deranged social engineering fantasies. Bad teachers with wild ideas who thrive like nasty mushrooms in a crumbling educational system seem to actively discourage compassion and genuine effort.

I don’t know if this is what’s happening at Barrowford Elementary. I’ve never been to school, the last time I went to Barrowford Primary School in person was a visit across town, on a day trip driving around Lancashire, admiring the historic buildings. But whatever is happening at Barrowford Primary School, it has to stop.
