Tyson Fury told Usyk in oath: “This idiot needs me”

In a bold and explosive interview, Tyson Fury told TalkSPORT that the undisputed fight with “idiot” Oleksandr Usyk was “just work”.

Fury, who is currently retired despite continuing to hold the WBC Heavyweight belt, called TalkSPORT to update fans about the clash they all wanted to see. In true Gypsy King fashion, it seems he couldn’t care less about the good fortune the fight would bring.

“He [Usyk] need legendary Gypsy king. I don’t need some foreigners. I don’t need him. I did what I did, I’m a legend in the game – retired undefeated heavyweight champion like Rocky Marciano.

“This idiot needs me. Some foreigners that no one can say his name. I give him a fight and I give him a chance to be a legend.”

Usyk just got his second win over Anthony Joshua. The victory cemented him as the unified heavyweight champion and added to a legacy that has contained an undefeated and undefeated campaign in the cruiser class.

This career has led many fans to brand the Ukrainian as the best boxer in the world. Fury, perhaps unsurprisingly, disagrees.
