The Tyson Fury story continues.
“I’ve decided to go back to boxing,” WBC heavyweight and world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury announced in a video released Tuesday, “because I could be a heavyweight champion. the first in history to have two trios, one with Deontay Wilder and the second with Derek Chisora. I always say I will fight Derek Chisora at the end of my career and here we are breaking all records again, setting precedent. “
While that’s true, Fury recently announced his desire to fight his old nemesis Chisora for the third time (he fought and defeated the man twice), Chisora’s promoter Eddie Hearn, pointed out that the Chisora team was cool with the idea. “That’s not enough money,” Hearn said Social boxing regarding a reported offer that Team Fury submitted with. “I’m not sure we’ll see that fight.” Fury, however, is nothing if not a determined man. He is also a man full of surprises. In Tuesday’s video, he also announced that he has a new coach – featherweight Isaac Lowe.
“Why I chose Isaac Lowe as my coach,” Fury says in the video, “is because when I was with Peter, Isaac was there, when I was with Ben, Isaac was always there and when I was with Sugar Hill, Isaac was always there. He always gives me information. He understands me better than anyone on the planet and we are a great team. We have always been together and we will accomplish this together. We’ve always worked very well together, and here we are about to have a big, large-scale event. ”
Lowe, a featherweight athlete who appeared in the video with the towering Fury, said he was delighted to be his friend’s new coach. “I’m looking forward to it,” he said. “It’s a difficult task, but also one to look forward to.” Although Fury mentions former trainers Peter Fury, Ben Davison and Sugar Hill Stewart in the video, it’s still unclear if Stewart, his most recent coach (whom he found success at Hall of Fame level) continues to join his team.
It’s also unclear what Fury would do if Chisroa really didn’t want to face him again – although the opportunities offered by the third fight with Fury in the end might be too much for Chisora to turn down. .
