Tyson Fury has put some much-needed urgency into his potential fight with Anthony Joshua, telling the challenger he has until Monday to sign the sport’s most talked-about contract.
Expectations have dropped and risen over the past two weeks for an all-British heavyweight belt fight. Throughout the negotiations, all parties want to announce that they want that to happen, however, keep in mind that by December 3, the longer it is, the less likely it is.
Speaking before the Joe Joyce – Joseph Parker clash, Tyson Fury gave ‘AJ’ an ultimatum. While this isn’t the first time he’s set up, given the amount of time left, this time looks to be more concluding.
“I was very optimistic about three weeks ago, but it won’t be that long to sign the contract. We’ll know by Monday anyway because if it’s not done by Monday, I’ll move on. “

Latest news from Joshua’s camp – provided by his promoter, Eddie Hearn – is they got the contract and worked through some issues. Looks like ‘King Gypsy’ doesn’t have time for further edits.
By going on, many in the sport think he means a fight with Mahmoud Charr. This week, his brother Shane showed up to defend that one standard fight for Fury. While his points are fair, they won’t do much to appease the fans, who have the Joshua clash hovering in front of them only to be stripped.
Whatever happens, it looks like we’ll know on Monday and what we’ll adjust to next December.
