Tyson Fury believes Deontay Wilder will take down Robert Helenius
If anyone understands Deontay Wilder’s punching power, it’s Tyson Fury.
The heavyweight champion has taken down four times in three fights with Wilder, a draw and two knockout wins for the British. And he believes Wilder will do the same with Robert Helenius on Saturday in Brooklyn.
He said only Finn wouldn’t get up.
“I just thought Wilder was a monster puncher and as soon as he landed on Helenius he was out,” Fury said in an iD Boxing video on YouTube. “I saw Gerald Washington take down Helenius, and Wilder take down [Washington] out, so. …
“[Helenius] didn’t do much good with Dillian Whyte. Helenius really couldn’t hurt him. And Wilder punches five times harder than Whyte. So yes, definitely KO. “
Helenius (31-3, 20 KOs) recovered from a knockout loss to Gerald Washington in 2019 to win the next three games, including stops by Adam Kownacki in the last two. his end to establish the big chance he gets on Saturday pay-per-view.
His other losses were against Johann Duhaupas (KO 6) in 2016 and Dillian Whyte (UD) the following year, while Helenius was struggling with a nagging shoulder injury.
Wilder took down everyone he fought with, except Fury. He overcame Bermane Stiverne to win the WBC title in 2015 but stopped him at half-time in their 2017 rematch.
