Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder following a “targeted” and “terrifying” attack in Greater Manchester.
Thomas Campbell, 38, was found dead at an address on Riverside in Mossley around 10.30am last Sunday.
In what detectives describe as “huge steps,” two men, aged 31 and 37, were detained on Thursday and Friday.
Both are still in custody.
Greater Manchester Police said an investigation into the murder was underway at “a rapid pace”.
“These arrests are huge steps forward in our murder investigation as we put together what happened in a horrific attack and get answers for the family they so dearly love. needed,” said Detective Inspector Mark Davis from its major incident team.
“Our investigation is continuing a lot into what we still believe is targeted and intentional [incident]. “
