Yesterday, NBA star Candace Parker announced that she is gay and has been married to a woman since 2019. BLEW UP News on Twitter.
Many of Candace’s fans were surprised that she was gay. And what some people don’t even know is that she broke up with ex-husband Shelden Williams, who played college basketball at Duke University and also played in the NBA.
Candace is married to Sheldon and the couple has a daughter named Lailaa Nicole Williams, born on May 13, 2009. In 2013, the couple purchased a 7,000 square foot home in Encino, Los Angeles for 3.56 million dollars. At the time, their marriage seemed very happy and very different.

But in November 2016, the couple split after eight years of marriage when Sheldon filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences”.

In each WNBA season from 2010 to 2015, Candace played for the Russian League’s UMMC Ekaterinburg, winning five consecutive championships with the team.
During off-season in Russia, Candace met a woman. … whom she would later marry, Anna Petrakova.
