Trey Songz settles after being sued for sexual assault at a party
Trey Songz reportedly settled a lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault at a house party. Last February, a woman sued the singer under the name Jane Doe for allegedly sexually assaulting her in 2016.
More information about the Settlement
She initially sought $25 million for mental and emotional suffering, but according to Radar Online, the settlement amount has not yet been disclosed. Trey Songz reportedly informed the court of his conditional settlement agreement with Jane Doe. They are said to have met at a nightclub in Los Angeles.
News of the settlement emerged months before their trial on September 16, 2024. The court will vacate the date due to the settlement.
Trey Songz has not commented publicly on the lawsuit settlement. However, the paperwork says:
“The settlement agreement conditions this matter’s dismissal upon satisfactory completion of specified provisions not being performed within 45 days of settlement. The request for dismissal shall be submitted no later than June 10, 2024.”
It is unclear what these agreed upon conditions were. It’s also unclear whether Trey admitted guilt or fault during the settlement. Last February, he denied the allegations, calling them “lies” in a social media post.

Jane Doe has filed suit twice, the second time last year. She also named Atlantic Record. Trey’s manager Kevin Lilys and 300 Entertainment are defendants.
In the paperwork, the woman explained that Trey invited her to a private party and at one point invited her upstairs for what she believed was a consensual “sexual encounter.” Instead, Jane Doe accused Trey Songz of brutal sexual assault after she refused his offer of another form of sex.
“[Doe] Allegedly after entering the upstairs bedroom, Defendant SONGZ immediately threw [Doe] to the ground, pulled up her skirt, tore her panties, and pinned them tightly [Doe] face down on the floor, scratching her elbows and knees and pressing his penis in [Doe’s] Anus is absent [Doe’s] consent, causing serious physical and mental harm. [Doe] screamed in pain, fought for freedom and begged Songs to stop but was overpowered by SONGZ SERVICES,” the lawsuit states.
Jane Doe said she left immediately after the assault. Her rideshare driver allegedly noticed her distress and took her to a local hospital. She received medical treatment and sexual assault counseling.
However, she sued because of mental and emotional distress after the alleged encounter.
In February this year, two women filed a lawsuit against the singer accusing him of sexually assaulting them at a house party in 2015.
