Toyota TRD Pro watch is not delicate

by Toyota Professional TRD truck carry some serious trace – it will only get worse after Friday Toyota Tacoma 2024 lineup revealed introduce decorate TRD Pro for surepart of a one-of-a-kind terrain punch on the side New Top Trailhunter. Anything branded TRD Pro is pretty much sought after in California. A bright orange 4 runner up The TRD Pro gets more accolades than any press car I’ve driven, including premium Benzes, Porscheand a Nissan GT-CHEAP. So it is perhaps only natural that a line of TRD Pro-branded watches will eventually come into existence.

Toyota has partnered with Original Grain, a San Diego-based watch company that has created a niche for itself using sustainably harvested wood to make their watches. Called the Solar Octane collection, sophistication is not their forte. Watches named after oranges color exclusively for TRD Pro Tacoma, tundra4Runner and Sequoia for the year 2023.

Somewhat confusingly, there are three watches named after three different versions for Toyota’s off-road rigs. The flagship TRD Pro measures 44mm in diameter with the automatic movement built in “racing-grade” aluminum and black wood. It wears a camouflage—if you can call it bright orange digital camouflage—patterned and comes with its own sturdy orange carrying case. It costs $749 and is limited to 250 pieces, each with a serial number.

The mid-tier type is called TRD Off-Road, named after the type that isn’t as difficult as the TRD Pro but still has decent off-road capability. It is a 45mm case with a solar movement made of stainless steel and black wood. It also has digital camouflage printing, but at least the base color is black. It costs $549 and is also limited to 250 individually numbered pieces.

Finally there’s the TRD Sport, named for trucks tuned for street use. It has a 45mm case, uses a solar movement and is made of stainless steel. It costs 595 USD and is not a limited production item.

The watches are far from the refined elegance of a Porsche Tag Heuer or Nissan GT-R Grand Seiko, each can cost more than $23,000. However, there will probably be enough TRD Pro enthusiasts willing to use this type of wearable. They’re on the flashy side, but so is an eye-catching orange pickup.
