At this week’s EICMA show in Milan, Italy, Royal Enfield unveiled a new tourer: the Super Meteor 650. Continuing the tradition of the Meteor 350, the Super Meteor sits in an all-new chassis and features a range of color options with two optional accessory packs.
Super Meteor features the air-cooled 648cc Twin-Twin engine also found in Royal Enfield’s Continental GT and INT650, all of which produce 38 lb-ft of torque and 47 hp.

However, the chassis of the Super Meteor 650 is new. Created in conjunction with Harris Performance, it is said to have a low center of gravity to deliver stability and confidence to riders of all levels. Royal Enfield reports that the new chassis is built for long hauls.
Siddhartha Lal, CEO of Eicher Motors Ltd said: “We have always taken a different approach to motorcycle construction and our new cruiser model, the Super Meteor 650, is the next evolution of that way. this approach. driving experience and for our customers, we built the Super Meteor to be utterly enjoyable for all the senses.”

The Super Meteor has a steel tubular frame and 43mm upside-down fork with 120mm of travel, along with twin shocks at the rear with 101mm of travel. Two-piston brakes will be standard.
Also standard on the Super Meteor are LED headlights, a TBT navigation system and a redesigned engine cover.

There are two sets of accessories for Super Meteor: Solo Tourer and Grand Tourer Genuine Motorcycles. At EICMA, Royal Enfield showed off one of them, along with a standard variant.
Genuine Solo Tourer motorcycle accessories kit includes rearview mirror, luxury footrest, LED indicator and machined wheels. The Solo Tourer on display at EICMA is painted in Astral Black.

The Grand Tourer version includes double travel seats, a tall windscreen, passenger backrests, a windscreen and LED indicators, and was introduced at EICMA in Celestial Red. A standard Super Meteor 650 is also shown in Interstellar Green.
Paint colors are available as standard, with or without the Solo Tourer accessory set, including Astral Black, Astral Blue, Astral Green, Interstellar Gray and Interstellar Green. Color options for the Grand Tourer variant include Celestial Red and Celestial Blue.
While pricing information is currently unavailable, we do know that Royal Enfield hopes to make the Super Meteor 650 available in North America in Summer 2023.
