Former British Prime Minister Theresa May has criticized Australia for not being proactive enough in fighting climate change during her first visit to the country.

The MP for the UK constituency Maidenhead was deemed “totally wrong” to argue over and over again that countries must choose between tackling climate change or continuing to develop their economies.

“You can do well with your economy and dealing with the climate. It just means you have to do business in a different way,” Mrs May told the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry lunch, where she spoke of an undisclosed fee.

Theresa May’s comment is more than refuted by Britain’s growing green energy crisisand the humiliation of Britain switched to coal a few months ago to keep the lights onafter all that billions of pounds worth of renewable energy went unpowered during the Europe-wide wind drought.

But in my view, Theresa May has never been one to let inconvenient truths get in the way of what she believes.

When Theresa May has been elected Prime Minister of the UK, there are high hopes her reign will be a re-start of the legendary Prime Minister. Margaret ThatcherMay it be the man who can lead Britain into a new economic renaissance. Sadly, the only similarity between Theresa May and Margaret Thatcher is the hairstyle and handbag.
