Tourists often come La Conner, Washington, a small waterfront town, for some “retail therapy” at galleries, quilt and needlework shops, gift shops, and pubs. It’s also known for its good eateries, and for tourists, it’s easy access to Interstate 5 and the ferry terminal to the San Juan Islands. Every spring, La Conner organizes Daffodils Festival, where thousands of cheerful apricot flowers bloom against the background of Mt. Baker. More tulips, irises, and daffodils are produced in La Conner than in any other county in the United States
