TNB Electron DC charging network – six more locations to launch in 2023


Last month, after officially introducing the Electron DC fast charging network, Tenaga Nasional (TNB) announced that it will be expanding its network reach with a six more DC fast charging points along the North-South Expressway (NSE) this year.

In one Instagram postThe company has reiterated their rollout plans, with a map of their general location providing an outline of how the network’s reach will be formed.

The other six TNB Electron charging points currently in development will be located at R&R Machap (south), Rawang (north), Gunung Semanggol (south), Gurun (north and south), and Paka (south) and These points are expected to be completed this year. The company said it was allocate 90 million RM over a two-year period to develop the charging network.

At this time, TNB Electron charging facilities are available in three R&R regions, namely Ayer Keroh (going north) And Tapah (north direction) on the North-South Expressway (NSE) and Paka (north direction) on East Coast Highway 2 (LPT2).

Both the Ayer Keroh and Paka locations run a 90 kW charger (RM2.20 per minute), while the Tapah site uses 80 kW and 100 kW configurations, priced at RM 2.05 and RM 2.35 per minute respectively.
